AND IF I EEEEEEV--(EVER FALL ) IN LOVE AGAAAIN
I will be SURE THAT THE LADY IS A FRIEND
And if I EEEEV--(Ever FALL) IN LOVE SO TRUE
I will be sure that the lady is just like you

I'e got this weird habit of biting my bottom lip. I pull it into my mouth just far enough to sink my teethe into. It is not about nerves, mind you, just something I do when I think.

"Where are you sitting," was the question Brittany posed to me at the beginning of our geo class that got me biting my lip. The question was simple enough, but the.. Sheer potential that my answer held got to me. It was the second time that day that I saw her. The first was when she was walking back from a class and looked up to the balcony of my dorm building and saw me and one of my roommates flailing our arms in the sky and screaming "MISS! BOO! BAH!"\ as we played Wii golf outside. The girls next door, and the two guys who live next to them moved their couches outside and I brought my TV so we stayed up for two nights( The Princess Bride, Harold and Kumar, Wicker Park ( I LOVE THIS MOVIE! ) and 10 things I hate about you ) So she saw me, and I gave her my notes from a class she missed the week prior and asked her to return 'em to me when she comes to our class later that night.

"I'm where I always am, in the back." I led the way up the stairs and sat in my regular spot and she sat beside me. About an hour into the class I made some corny joke about exfoliation and died.(hyperbole, I know.) I always tell her jokes(mostly hair jokes since I'm bald and those always get a smile.) and yeah. Class ends, and we're waiting outside for the shuttle to come to drop us off at our dorm(Here comes the lip biting part.)
On the bus we made what I considered to be small talk.. I joked, she giggled. I smiled, she grinned,I'd lean up across the back of her seat and whisper something, and she'd lend me her ear. I gazed out the window toward the night sky and she put her head down and exhaled. It was during one of those quiet moments with me staring out the window, that I realized that I had been flirting with her the entire evening, and that she had reciprocated. Not so much with the words we spoke(although that was a part of it,) but the things we didn't have to say. Mostly just the gazes. I know, I know, "Big deal, you flirted with a girl you like," right? Right. I was almost giddy for about three minutes before I gazed out the window again and told myself it meant nothing, and that it wasn't a precursor to me actually moving on from the let down that has been well documented on this here weblog. Last time we(Brit and I)talked about relationships she hinted that some other guy had a thing for her, and as much as I'd love to be her man, I really don't want to be her man.

Yes I do.
No I don't.

She's moving to Spain next semester, so it doesn't matter. What DOES matter is that before I bid her adeau after walking her to her room she reached into her backpack and pulled out a piece of chocolate. "I got this especially for you," she told me. In retrospect, she was probably being sarcastic, but hey, she gave me some candy. Gotta' count for something, right?

yes, you do-no, you don't
Hun, why don't you try the flower petals? They'll give you the same result. And it's romantic. ;) BTW: Adieu is spelled a-d-i-e-u. Hey, chocolate is chocolate. Was it a box or a piece? Yum-may...
» Silver-dot- on 2007-04-04 11:17:08

=/ Small talk is counted as flirting? Looks like there's a lot that I've got to learn about flirting..
» Nuttz on 2007-04-04 11:27:46

haha, that video is great
» LostSoul13 on 2007-04-04 11:35:15

o.O

Whaaaat? It's done! I just finished it.
» ikimashokie on 2007-04-04 11:38:16

no one ever gives me candy....
this situation appears to happen more often than I ever realized. (not just with you - but with people in general) I'm sure you have a thousand questions and scenarios flying around in that bald head of yours - if you ever wanna talk you know how to get ahold of me.

*RE:comment*
I can comment on my own page if I want! lol, it's MY page! ;) Not only that, but Zanzibar could comment a thousand times if she wanted. I don't know how she'd accomplish that...but she's welcome to try.
Psh, and if you were ever inside my HEB I wouldn't let you leave without saying 'hi'. However, I'm horrible with faces and probably wouldn't recognize you unless you had your avvie on a shirt. lol...
» Helena on 2007-04-04 11:54:39

It's just some normal tea.. they don't have any flavored ones..

Singapore is not in Malaysia.. How can he be your roommate and not live with you?

Please beat him up for me.. I can't wait to see his face after that! LOL! Nah.. I can't beat someone up.. I'm supposed to be ladylike.. XD
» Nuttz on 2007-04-04 11:58:21

Ohh... You're having south-east Asians as your roommate.. maybe you'll get a Filipino or Siamese next.. =/ Does your Singaporean roommate ever said: Morning Jon, eat breakfast liao ar?

AND... that video's awesome!!
» dis1girl on 2007-04-05 09:15:50

I like the chocolate part. No matter if it was sarcasm or not, it was still something in the lines of acknowledging you.

And yeah, the quarter system is fast and right to the point. I'm actually still trying to adjust to just how accelerated it is here at UCSD.

I actually chose urban studies/planning as a major because of a game called Sim City. That game got me interested in city planning and development and before I knew it I was actually questioning why certain buildings were located where and why public transportation is such a buster here in San Diego.

Unfortunately, I overloaded on expectations and I actually have now changed my major to international studies - anthropology so that it is more cohesive with the masters program I want to pursue which is international relations in pacific studies.

Other than that, I'll take you words of advice. Except it just looks that much more ghetto fab when you put your back into it the right way.
» bifocalLs on 2007-04-06 04:27:03

ten things i hate about you is amazing.
and i think her giving you chocolate is deffinetly a move in the right direction.

» changbang on 2007-04-09 01:30:34

Thats a nice lyric from that song. Well, see, I would graduate from that stage but it has only just begun. And she just recently broke up with her boyfriend of a year and a half that really didnt treat her like a gf, but more like a friend, and I still feel that she has some growing up to do. Plus, she goes to a UC in Riverside which is about an hour drive away but comes down to Orange for the weekends. And I mean, I don't wanna jump into yet because of the fact that a friend of mine tried to get at her first and she became attracted to me more, and plus like, I really don't want a relationship to end us because I really like her personality even if we weren't to become "friends with benefits." So like it would be harsh to have a relationship and then have it end sour and not even have her as a friend at all. So i'm sorta stuck. =

Sry about ur current situation, too. I hope u're taking ok, and its a really great thing that u're trying ur hardest.
» PsychoEnigma on 2007-04-10 01:16:50

I've been chewing on my thumb-knuckle lately when I'm stressed. Now it has a callus and it's all the easier to bite. :C
She gave you chocolate, don't you know what that means? It's a response to the comment that you made inside your head earlier and never said out loud, of course.

And yes you do.

And really, you have nothing to lose, because if it doesn't work out, she's leaving for Spain and you'll have a good excuse to break up, and if it does work out, well then it will have worked out and that's AWESOME! And if you asked her out and she was like, "nah" then it's ok, because she's leaving for Spain and you won't see her around and you can go back to being lame and emo about things you can't change. Really. Serious. Nothing to lose.

My Singaporean roommate used to say, "La!" but only when she was talking to other singapoeans.

So I guess now I will go comment on Helena's page 1000 TIMES!!! JUST BECAUSE I CAN!!!!
» Zanzibar on 2007-04-10 09:13:04

And considering that Kylee is in high school, I'm pretty certain that marrying him would be extremely illegal.
» Zanzibar on 2007-04-10 09:29:54

uck, i know.
i thought about that alot today.

so i decided its deffinetly more of a physical attraction than i thought it was.

and i just watched that video. and decided that i love it. =]
» bananaface on 2007-04-10 07:19:31

Eh, it's not entiely just him kissing her twice. It's everything that happened before that, and how he's handling it now that's making me wonder if he's worth it.

But I must say, I laughed at the whole thug comment. Hah.
» Le_Jes on 2007-04-10 10:34:27

I'm not sure if I have the entire story even blogged... but I think I have the basic gist of it. Except, I don't think that I mentioned that a couple weeks ago I caught Michael in a serious lie for the third time that got me questioning to go on with him, but then some shit happened and the way he was there for me made me decide he was worth it.

Just for a general background knowledge, hah.
» Le_Jes on 2007-04-10 11:11:53

*sigh*
thank you ever so much for the germs. =]

i miss you, jonathan. come back!

...even though you're an emo kid, love.
» toni on 2007-04-13 12:56:48

Indecision. I don't like it.

» Haiyu on 2007-04-14 11:51:51

That doesn't mean I won't ponder it.
I like new ideas, even if I don't...like them.

Your video really had me rolling on the floor laughing. It was great.

Yeah that's true, but nowadays you can't say you're really safe anywhere anymore. People get killed in the comfort of their own homes. So now really.. how safe are we?
